Indians once again proved that why they are one of the most feared opponents in world cricket.Going into champion trophy as underdogs, no one expecting them to perform well.... (match fixing scandals, team rebuilding phase, IPL hangover...) all was against Indians when they came into compedition, with very few expecting them to win and even fewer expecting them to win this handsomely....
Indians got boosted by an in form opening pair- Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma , A proactive and calm under pressure captain - MS Dhoni , In form all rounder and probably one of best bowler in world cricket at the moment - Ravindra Jadeja and last but not the least- Exellent fielding unit- Virat Kohli, Jadeja , Rohit Sharma to name a few..
I could not help but notice a few similarities betweem Indian world cup win of 1983 and champions trophy win 2013..
1) incredible fielding
2) an inspiring captain
3) batsmen in incredible form
4) inexperencied side
5) english conditions
The real test of this Indian side lies when they go overseas for tests....
